A private memorial service in the house was followed by a public service and the interment. Simultaneously memorial services were held in all offices in Germany of the Royal Dutch-Shell group. It is announced that Sir Henri bequeathed the whole of his large estate at Dobbin-with the exception of the house and the immediately surrounding park- to the Friedrich-Heinrich Farming Institute, which he founded.
